Still Thesis'ing
- Jun 10, 2010Yup, yup. I have been working hard on my thesis which leaves me little time to do anything else. Buuuut I did have a trip to Yosemite planned for the longest time and that is where I went this past weekend. Yosemite is one of the most beautiful places I have been to in my life, it is definitely a place everyone should see at least once in their life. I'll post picture on my Facebook page.
Ooo my cousin got married and I had the honor of being his best man :D Congratulations to you, duuuuuuude! :X
Life has been goooood, can't complain. Nothing much has change for me lately >< Still just thesis thesis thesis thesis. I am working on a new mix that I would like to release and finish when I finish my thesis as a celebration! So stay tuned for that.

End o' da' Year
- Dec 24, 2010I really got behind updating this website, but at the very least I still kept spinning on UKast-FM.
It has been so long since I released an official mix or studio mix or whatever you want to call it....... my New Year's resolution is to make a new mix before the end of Januray.
Also, I will be spinning tomorrow on Christmas. "Whaaaaa?" Well, I figured I was going to be home and I got all my equipment here and it would be a nice treat for anyone who is listening. Aaaaannnndddd I figured you all might be home as well for the Holidays and what better way to celebrate being at home than by blasting some Hardcore for your family to enjoy :D

Still Here
- June 30, 2010I was updating the my website (uploading mixes, changing the main page) and I thought to myself, “Hey, I haven't touched the blog section in the longest!” So... yea! Here I am! Updating my “blog.”
I finished another semester of school (another semester closer to finishing) and I nailed all my classes so I am very happy about that. I have been spending my summer searching for employment so I hope I can find some work! And that is why I haven't been spinning lately. Job searching has really really kept me busy, but I have set some time apart to spin this coming weekend so if you're still a fan please tune in! :D
The pig is doing well, so are the chinchillas and if you listen to my streams I mentioned we got a new bunny (named Bobby after the person who found him abandoned in a box). They're all doing just great! Doing my best to keep them hydrated and cool during this summer ESPECIALLY those chinchillas.
Well, that is it for now! I am working on a new “studio mix” or a “promo”, whatever you want to call it.
Been a While
- April 09, 2010It has been quite some time since I've last updated my blog. Well, here it is!!!! SUCKAS!!!
Another semester of class has begun, I'm already in my uuhhhh past 5th week :X. Spring Break came and went.... but it was a lot of fun (the first part of it). I finally visited the Grand Canyon (with Koko and my friend Dan) and let me tell you that place is freaking beautiful (not as beautiful as Koko ^____^ ). It was soooo damn cold though, at least for us Southern Californians. It was about 25 degrees Celsius at night and I have not experienced that kind of cold in my life before so that was a treat. During the day it was a high of 57 -.- Just to give you an idea, it is a low of 70 at night where I'm from. If Koko didn't insist on bringing several blankets I would have frozen at night; she saved my life!
After two nights at the canyon we drove to Vegas! Wooo!!! We stayed a night at the Exaclibur hotel and casino. By then we were too damn tired (from a rigorous hike we did at the canyon) to really do anything. We never walked past the Coke store.... :X
Anyway, then I cam home and did a ton of homework (joy) AND made time to spin for you on UKast! Speaking of which, I'm going to stop here so I can get some practice in before I spin today!!!!
Finals Week
- December 17, 2009Well, this was finals week… or still is. Today is my last final at 7pm and after that vacation starts. Woot. To kick off the break I will be spinning tomorrow probably around the usual time.
This semester sure was fun! I updated my website less frequently than last semester! (ouch) I am on break now so expect more live streams. Thanks for tuning!
Round 2 Of Midterms

More than half way done with the semester. After these midterms will be projects and finals due! It just doesn't end... well, after that will be vacation! I am looking forward to that very much :D
I'm BAAACK
- October 31, 2009Firstly, I would like to apologize for bailing out last week. I told Atomic I would spin and he let some of you know, but I didn’t show. On that note, sorry for not updating my website or spinning often on UKast-FM. This semester has just been hell for me, but at least right now for today I can relax a bit.
I still love Hardcore, don’t worry. I still try to find some time to spin (gotta practice practice). I’ll be on vacation again soon so I should be able to make some time, was thinking about making another ‘studio’ mix as well. Oh yea, if you hadn’t noticed or read, I uploaded a lot of streams from this year!
But yea, life is good… just studying hard. Hanging in there.
Where Have I Been!?
- August 08, 2009Yeaaaa, I sort of just... haven't been updating and spinning to often on UKast. I haven't had this much time off in years... literally YEARS! I've been hanging out with friends and spending much needed time with a lot of family whom which I have not dedicated time to. All in all, this summer has been productive on a emotional and personal level. Other than that, I haven't learned a new skill or anything practical :X
But... vacation is almost over. The semester begins at the end of this month, so I still got time. I will be spinning next week and more often before and when school starts. Right now, I am feeling a bit under the weather... actually very under the weather (in b4 "swine flu") I'll be better soon, it is just a cold.
Vacation Time!
- May 25, 2009Just a quick update! I am done with class! YES! No grades yet...... so, I'm not sure whether to celebrate or be upset the entire summer. But for now I will be happy :D

Next Live Stream
- May 4, 2009I can't say when I will be streaming next, but what I can say is that it probably will not be until after I am done with my finals. I don't mean to be flaky on the listeners or UKast, but I need all the time that I can get to focus on my upcoming finals.
I know, I know. I won't be studying 24/7, but as much time as I can I need to devote to studying. I'll be online less and I won't stream until I'm free. Nothing personal against anyone. I still want to spin, but I can't if I barely have anytime. It won't be fun for me (or you) if I need to squeeze in spinning between my busy schedule. I want to spin when I'm relaxed and I have all the time in the world.
Actually, no... I might find the time between now and end of finals, but I can't set any dates. I can't make any promises that I'll spin on a certain day. If I am free and Atomic or Pleiades are online, then I'll spin. That is a better way of putting it.
This semester is going fairly well so far. I need to do well in these finals to make sure I don't get a C. As my professors and other students have said, “In graduate school, getting a C is like getting a fail.” I do not want that to happen, and I'm sure you don't want that to happen to me either. :]
This summer I plan to relax. Get back to my DJing and production. So don't worry! I'll be spinning live all this summer.

Wow, it has been well over a year since I last released a mix... but I finally did it! Sure, sure. I know, I know. I've been spinning live on UKast and I've released those sets, but it isn't the same! I know that and YOU know that. ;] So much has happened in my life since the last mix.... I am so freakin happy I am releasing this mix. I hope you enjoy it. I put a lot of work into it. :X

Just a note, when I burned it with the cue Nero warned me about over-burn. But I burned it anyway and it seemed to get the entire mix on one 80 minute CD. Sorry about that :P
First Midterm
- February 25, 2009Today, in a few hours, I will be taking my first midterm as a graduate student. I've studied for days and I feel prepared and ready. But, we'll have to wait to see how I do... Also, I am sorry about not mixing last Friday. Marimo was originally supposed to work, but she got the day off and so we spent the day together. Actually, she still had work but until later in the day.
"What about the mix!?"
Yea, sorry about that too. I am still working on it right now while I study for midterms and do my homework. I have made a lot of progress! Before last week I hadn't worked on the mix for months. I am long over due for a new mix which only encourages me to continue working hard to finish. This week I will be spinning 100% at 1pm PST, well maybe 2pm. I am not entirely sure what time Atomic will be online so either 1pm or 2pm. Well, time to continue studying and then take the midterm!
Settling Down
- February 16, 2009It seems that things are finally starting to settle down and become routine. It was pretty hectic the first weeks of school, but I think now I have my time under control. All my classes are after 5pm, I wasn't used to that. I had to re-arrange my brain and get used to studying during the day and going to class at night.
Anyway, I don't want to jinx it... but I want to release my new mix this Saturday as a way to celebrate my birthday. If all goes well it will first be heard on UKast-FM and then it will be available for download. Also! I decided to spin every Friday at 1pm PST! woo woo! Well.... time to get back to studying!
School... Again!?
- January 29, 2009Yes, yes. I am back at in schooool. I am not too cool for school. This time I am at CSULB attempting at a Masters in CS. So far so good, I just finished my first week. Oh, man. I rarely update this website... I am still working on my tracks. I think I'll put some up for download on my website since I haven't uploaded a new mix in over a year.. (wow). I'lll try to work on it some more this weekend... maan... I'm so fucking slow when it comes to new mixes. Makes me sad...
Vacaaaaaation
- January 02, 2009Oooooh damn, it is 2009. Happy new year to everyone! Alright :X "Hey, where is that mix?" I know, I know... D: Still working on it... as usual. I always say that. I've been working on a new track and I really wanted to include it in this mix. I'll announce it to the world once I finish my next mix.
This month I decided to stream Thursdays and Fridays... and I think at an earlier time, probably 1pm PST starting next week. I've been missing a lot of stream dates on UKast, sorry about that. I just got carried away with my vacation. Well, also other things, you know, the usualy... family ><
I am not sure what my DJing schedule for UKast will be next month. I am starting school at the end of this month and I do not know what classes I will be taking.

Yeah, I just recently finished but I also recently got accepted to Long Beach's master's program............. :D :D :D yeaaa!! So, about two more years of classes before I start working.

- December 24, 2008Yes... I finished with classses a while back! :P But I've been too caught up with moving out and enjoying my vacation. :D :D I will be spinning today and tomorrow!
I am done with college!! I got my grades, passed all my classes.. finished all the requirements... I'm done!!! HA HA! It feels great and scary at the same time. What happens next? I will be attending CSULB's master's programs... so.. more school! :D Take that work! Well..... yeaa.... ><
Last Quarter 9.5
- November 27, 2008Daaaaaaamn. Almost 10th week of school... next week will be my last week of lectures at UCI. After that it is finals, then... I just wait for my grades and if I pass all my classes I will be done... I will have completed my undergraduate schooooooling at UCI.. holy crap. Time just flies freaking by.
Well, I had jury duty this week. I was in Costa Mesa, but I had to be in downtown LA at 7:30 am. I woke up at 5:30am, it was not fun. :P I spent the first part of the day sitting in downtown's courts then I was asked to go to a traffic court in a different part of LA at 1:30pm. Then I sat there and ran out the clock. Fortunately I was not required to sit in for a case sooooooo.. I am done with my civil duties until another year from now.
My streaming has bit very erratic and I apologize for that. I just sometimes really need to go home and I don't have my turntables at home and time is something I don't have a lot of lately. I plan to stream weekly this coming month. I'll be at home, I'll be done with school... so.. unless I have a doctor's appointment or something similar I will be able to stream! Hell, maybe I'll do it twice a week. Maybe... Wednesday and then Friday. We'll see!! I'll do it the days Atomic can listen in ;D Just another reason to be looking forward to my vacation... more time to DJ and enjoy Hardcore and enjoy UKast. Oh yea.. and finally finish that new 'studio' mix I've been working on.
I haven't posted a picture in a long time.... hm... I do have some pictures from Halloween. I'll put those up next time. I don't have a camera!! It is up to Yoko! ><

Last Quarter 2.2
- October 08, 2008Second week... nothing special. Already have homework and programs to do. Woo woo. Fortunately I just finished up with all of that and I found sometime to update my website.
Yoko left for Japan this morning, I hope she got there safely. I will make sure to give her a shout out this Friday when I stream. Speaking of which, I actually put a track listing for one of the live mixes. I'll try putting up the track lsiting for the rest of the mixes as well. Who knows... maybe one day a cue... but I doubt that. Though I'll make a cue that will cue the mix every 4 minutes at the very least.
I was assigned to a group for my AI class. It should be a fun class, I look forward to starting the project. That is about all for today! :P
Last Quarter 1.0
- October 03, 2008I just finished my first week of my last quarter at UCI. Nine more weeks left (plus another week for finals) and I'm out of here! Kind of scary! :X
I am still working on a new mix which should be done sometime in October. I think next week I'll be taking a test that I've been studying for... so that will free up a lot of time and stress. Yuuuuuuup.... And I'll be streaming every other Friday as usual!! At 3:20. I'll keep it consistant! :D
Last Quarter
- September 25, 2008Well, I am back in class. I started today! This will be my last quarter at UCI, but I don't want to talk about that. Instead... let's see some of the things I did during the summer.
Yoko's pig gave birth. Fortunately she found a home for the female so this won't happen anymore. :P But they sure were cute. She kept the black and white one because he is a guuuuy just like Radicchio (but we thought he was a she at first ><).
I went to the beach with Yoko and Mario. She had plenty of fun chasing birds like she usually does. Great beach not too far from the apartment.
Like most people, I went to see the Dark Knight but my dad hadn't gone! I couldn't let that happen, :p So I went with him and Yoko to see the Dark Knight at the IMAX theater in City Walk.

Vacation
- September 07, 2008Hello everyone! Man, I haven't updated in so long. Sorry about that... summer school keeps you very busy, but that is the thing! I finished this past Thursday! I am finally on vacation (for about only two weeks), woo woo!! I've been streaming randomly here and there. I think, last Tuesday and then on Wednesday. Sometimes during the week. I'll try to bring my Friday schedule back.

Summer Session II
- August 11, 2008Started session II... it will never end until I am out of UCI. This time I am enrolled in Computer System Architecture. I've been reading the course book because I am already like this X_X Not a good thing! Sorry about not streaming last week, I had to go home Thursday for my family (as usual). I think this Friday I will be free, so we'll see. We will see. Time to get back to ready.......................

- July 11, 2008Whoa... I have not updated in a while. Yup, busy as always! And busy with school... as usual! Summer school this time. I am taking my last chem lecture and lab and after that I will be taking a CS class. After the summer I will have one last quarter at UCI. That damn time keeps drifting!
Vacation Time :D
- June 17, 2008Boy, oh boy! No more class!!! I have been so caught up with not doing anything school related! Only thing left is to wait for those damn grades! I did already get my grade for chemistry. A 'B' in lab and an 'A' in lecture (thanks to my LARC tutor). Before I continue, I can not stream this Friday! I haven't been home in almost four weeks X_x and I should really go home and visit my parents and sister. And.... to do my laundry ;D and get some food..... and all that moochie stuff kids do to their parents. Sorry! >< I will stream next Friday! Promise =]
I'd go home already, but I am taking a beginning piano class at a Junior College (IVC) and that meets Mondays / Wednesday. So I will go home Wednesday night right after class. Here are some pictures of our (Yoko and I) journey at IVC:

Finals Here I Come!!!
- June 06, 2008No more chemistry lab!!! I am so damn happy! Well, no more until summer school at least. I have one more project left for my databases course, but no final! I have a final Monday (networking) and then one on Wednesday (chemistry)... so next week should be a lot of fun. I am also damn glad I will be done with networking. It was one of the most boring computer science courses I’ve taken here at UCI. There were no programs or projects... just memorize this and memorize that now give me back all that information (yuck).
After finals I will have a week off before I start summer school. The first session I will be taking Chem 1C and the lab associated with that course. Two chemistry labs a week is going to be hell, but fortunately I have Chemistry-Tee to help me:

CD Arrss
- May 09, 2008I was low on CDrs so I stopped by Office Depot. 100 CDrs for 10 bucks! I had to buy two packs of those. They also had 50 DVDrs for 10 bucks so I also had to buy that... even though I don't have a DVD burner :P It was just a good deal.
If you checked earlier this week I stated I will be stream and that is still true! :P Been a while, I miss the spinning live on UKast. 6th week of school just finished and next is 7th and pretty soon after that finals week! Summer vacation is almost here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ><

Putting Away CDs
- April 10, 2008Over the years I’ve bought a lot of MP3s from IMO, NuNRG (now HardBeatStore) and BeatPort. I mean, I still buy a lot of MP3s from these sites and every time I buy more music I need to burn it onto a CD in order to mix the tracks I bought! :P For a while I’d store my CDs in a small CD Case that couldn’t hold them all so they’d be all over the freakin floor. When I spin live for UKast, I’d have most of the CDs scattered on the floor and pick and choose which I wanted to play. FINALLY I bought a CD Case which can hold everything I have so far.
School has been gooood, Chem / Databases / Networking. Fun fun and more fun :P Oh yeah, I'm taking a Chem lab. My first Chem lab. laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawl. More on that later as the quarter continues (only week 2). And more on Bass Unity next time as well.
Good ol Finals
- March 18, 2008Yeah, it is that time again... joy. Sorry about not streaming last Friday, but school keeps me extra busy when tests are approaching. I’d stream this Friday, but I need to go spin in downtown so there would be little time to get there in time... plus I’ve been (and will be) studying all week until Friday. The good news is next week is Spring Break so I’ll be off for a weak, maybe then I can finally make a new mix! :D
Well, wish me luck on my finals and on Friday! I just noticed I seem most likely to update in days that end with 8... :P
Second Round
- Feb 28, 2008I just finished my last midterm for the quarter! I am so relieved (until finals week). I feel that I did fantastic on my last two midterms. There is no time to rest! The quarter is almost over and I still got plenty to do.... :D In the back of my mind I keep thinking about the last time I released a mix -.-

2008 Weeeeeeeee!
- Jan 18, 2008Happy new year to all! I am still alive, yes. Just with the parents leaving the country (meaning several trips to the airport) and finally get a break from class, I just sort of rotted away doing nothing. It felt great. I was working on a new mix though, but I just can’t seem to agree on anything I mix. I dunno, it is getting a bit frustrating.
New school quarter, that is good that is good. Streaming tomorrow! Speaking of which I will be streaming every other Friday now… school = time. Well, I just hope I make a damn new mix soon… it has been months since I released Ka-Tss. ce music page. Check it out! Took us a long time to make.

Wow, I missed two weeks!
- Dec 09, 2007I guess I've just been that busy... yeah... I have been. Same ol same ol with everything in my life. I could not stream two Fridays ago because I took my dad to the airport (he got to his destination safely) and I only spun for 40 minutes last Friday because I had to go to a group meeting. I'm not sure if I'll be able to spin this Friday, this is finals week after all... but we'll see how I manage my time.
Happy birthday to Yoko! It was yesturday :P But yeah!

8 th Week and I'm Still Alive
- Nov 20, 2007I just keep getting busier and busier which means less attention to my website. Just a few more weeks of school and then winter break. Though I do have Thanksgiving break, I am f-ing busy right now. Our game is due soon, another assignment for 141, and plenty of ready for History and Bio.
I forgot my window opens tomorrow; I better get my schedule ready as soon as I finish this post.
I am doing well in all my classes, but Bio. I am doing so shitty in that class. I guess it isn’t for everyone. I hope I pass... regardless of what grade I get I am not taking the next class in the series. I will not survive it. I don’t know how you did it Mario, freaking smart guy. I will register for Chem and take that series. I really don’t look forward to those Chem labs.
I’m still streaming every Friday for UKast (so tune in!), I’ve picked up producing again, been DJing more often (because of UKast :P), and besides school everything is great. I will definitely make a new mix when I finish with this quarter. Spinning for UKast has been giving me the practice (and ideas) I need for a new mix. I posted last week’s set. I enjoyed it a lot, I hope you do too. I would have uploaded the Friday's before, but there was a lot of lag so yeaaah.
Week 7, Holy...
- Nov 13, 2007Already the seventh week of school, holy damn. This quarter is just flying by. Last week I handled two midterms, I have no idea how I did yet. I still have one more midterm this Wednesday (and I think one more for another class sometime). And after all that, I still have finals to look forward to, joy!
I heavily look forward to winter break. I already have the books I am going to read sitting on my desk. I think I'll work on a new mix during winter... it would be best, I have not released a mix in months. I will definately be working on producing more music. I recently started picking it up again (mostly due to my CS113 class).
It is late, time for some sleeeeeeeeeep.
Been Busy

Happy Halloween! Sort of! Yoko and I bought candy to hand out, but no one came to our door. I think if we had some Halloween decorations up someone might have knocked. Oh well, more candy for us and to anyone who comes to visit.
The week is here! 6th week! The week of two midterms! Wish me luck!
Oh yeah! As a treat for not posting in the longest time I have uploaded my mix from last Friday. Well, back to studying... great way to spend the weekend. ;] I'll try to keep the blogs up-to-date. It does help me get my mind off things and just reflect on what I've been doing.
My friend Jordan spun right after me last Friday! It was great. He is a fellow Hardcore DJ I met at UCI, who is also in the school of ICS. Back to back UCI DJs! :P
I’ve decided to stop spinning for KoTC and at raves. Promoting and other stuff I had to do just to get the opportunity to spin (usually at a bad time) just did not seem worth it anymore. I’d rather spend my weekends at home with my family, with Yoko, with my friends, or just relax and not doing anything. It was a needless pressure I added on my life. I enjoy spinning and I’m perfectly happy with just spinning at my apartment posting mixes online for people to enjoy.
Thank you UKast for letting me stream for your radio. It provides another outlet for my DJing needs. I appreciate it a lot!
I’ll keep on spinning, but at the comfort of my apartment :D

5th Monday
- Oct 29, 2007Another week of school has started... joy.
Two midterms to look forward to next week... joy.
I didn’t spin on Friday and that is all I’m going to say about that.
Amazingly, I started my 141 assignment already. I don’t wait until the last minute, but I do wait until the weekend before it is due. This time, the weekend it was assigned is the weekend before it is due. I was able to knock out my history reading and so I got started on this assignment. I am enjoying using Haskell, it is my very first time.. ;]
Yoko became an official bear today. She was told her package had been attempted to be delivered yesterday (on a Sunday? Yea right...) so we went to the post office. Big surprise, it wasn’t there. It did come later on during the day. She got her package and was finally an official bear. I’m sure she’ll post some pictures and you’ll know what I’m talking about. It isn’t a Halloween costume :P My records have still not arrived.
If you haven’t noticed, I took the time to update my website and upload pictures from three past events. I found sometime on the weekend, so there you go! Maybe I should have worked on a new mix. Owell! Ha, naw. I went home so I did not have my equipment with me. Those stay at my apartment, but HTML code can be written anywhere!!! Perhaps I’ll find some time on the weekend to work on a new mix or upload more pictures. I am ready to record my stream this Friday, so if I don’t work on a new mix I can at least upload a live set. Speaking of which, I really want to re-record what I spun last Friday... Speaking of which I need to buy some line-in converter for my mp3 player... MAN!
UKast
- Oct 28, 2007It looks like Fridays for sure are going to be my set time to spin on UKast. I was aiming for Thursday because I had a big block of free time, but I will be using that time to work. Fridays around 5:20pm (PST). I get out of class at 4:50 and I still need to drive back to my apartment, set up, relax, etc. That should be enough time.
I’ve really enjoyed spinning for UKast. Last Friday was a lot of fun and I liked my set. I wish I would have recorded it... I think I will just re-record what I played. It won’t be 100% similar, but it will be good enough for me! It also means I’ll post another set people can download. This Friday though... I am ready to record my set which I will upload on my website.
Fifth week, wow. School goes by so damn fast. Next thing I know it is Thanksgiving.
Oh yeah, I ordered some records last weekend. I want them already! Rawr!!
Work
- Oct 24, 2007I know I'd stream on Thursdays, but tomorrow I can not. I have a meeting with the professor I am working for at that very time. I hope the UKast guys don't mind me spinning on Friday instead. I can stick in a hour show before I go back to Los Angeles to spin at the rave (I don't know what time I'm spinning anyway). I was supposed to continue working during the school year, but I got caught up with the new year. Four weeks have passed and I haven't worked once! I went today (finally) after I emailed the professor and we arranged to meet tomorrow. I will be working Tuesdays and Thursdays so I need to find a new time to spin for UKast....
Oh yeah, I didn't do too great on my Bio midterm... I am very disappointed. I just need to learn from the mistakes, study harder, and just keep on trying. My other classes seem to be going great so far. =D
School
- Oct 18, 2007I have been trying to finish this new design as fast as I can, but I have so little time now that school has started. I have a midterm tomorrow for my Biology class (I better destroy that test) and a bunch of other work for my other classes. Anytime I can I dedicated to finishing this new website. I also thought I'd be able to make a new mix, but that will have to be delayed until school settles down.
It is very frustrating that this website will look weird on some browsers, but I just decided fuck it. I'm sorry if it looks weird, but there are too many browsers out there to please. As long as people can navigate their way around I am happy. I maintain this site by myself... sooooo yeaah... I don't have that much skill or time. =D
